AutoExplore Oy wants GitComet's websites and account application to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, magnify the page, or need reduced motion or a particular colour scheme.
1. What this statement covers
gitcomet.dev— the GitComet websitedocs.gitcomet.dev— the documentationpro.gitcomet.dev— the GitComet Pro account application, including sign-in
The GitComet desktop client, in either edition, is not covered by this statement. It is a natively rendered application rather than a web page, and we make no conformance claim for it. Its settings include interface scaling from 80% to 200%, a choice of interface and monospace fonts including your system font, light and dark themes that can follow your operating system, and colour themes of your own. Its keyboard shortcuts are listed in the keyboard shortcuts reference at docs.gitcomet.dev. If you use the desktop client with assistive technology we would particularly like to hear from you — see section 5.
Pages run by others are not covered either. The account application sends you to Stripe to pay and to manage billing, and, if you choose, to a sign-in provider such as GitHub or your organisation's identity provider. Those pages are not ours and we cannot change them.
2. Conformance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
The websites and the account application are partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard. Section 4 lists the problems we know about.
The account application has been reviewed most closely. The website and the documentation have been reviewed less closely and may have problems we have not found.
3. What we have done
We have worked to make the account application:
- work with a keyboard, with a link to skip to the main content;
- show where keyboard focus is;
- move focus to the new page's content when you navigate, and update the page title so that a screen reader announces where you are;
- keep focus inside a dialog while it is open, close it on Escape, and return focus to where you were;
- announce errors and status messages to screen readers;
- give form fields labels and instructions that screen readers read out, and tell browsers and password managers what each field is for;
- give images that carry meaning a text alternative, and hide decorative icons from screen readers;
- use colours chosen to meet WCAG's contrast requirements in both themes, and not rely on colour alone to show status;
- follow your operating system's reduced-motion setting;
- follow your browser's text size, and reflow when the page is zoomed;
- offer light and dark themes, following your operating system by default.
It loads nothing from other sites, so it contains no embedded third-party widgets.
4. Known limitations
We know about the following problems. There may be others we have not found; please tell us about them (section 5).
- Videos have no captions or audio description. The website's product videos play in your browser's own video player or, on their individual pages, in YouTube's player, which is not ours. Most videos have a written walkthrough of the steps they show nearby.
- Forced-colours mode is not designed for. With Windows High Contrast or another forced-colours setting, your browser replaces our colours with your system's, but we have not adapted or tested the account application for it. Some visual cues disappear, in particular the focus indicator on form fields and the highlight on the current navigation item.
- Older browsers lose our colour scheme. Below Chrome 123, Firefox 120 or Safari 17.5, the account application renders in the browser's default colours rather than ours. The content and structure are unaffected.
5. Feedback
If something in our websites, the account application or the desktop client gets in your way, please tell us. Reports like these help us decide what to fix.
- Email: gitcomet@gitcomet.dev
We try to reply as soon as we can. Please say what you were trying to do, what got in the way, and which browser and assistive technology you were using, if you know.
If you need information from us in another format, ask, and we will try to find one that works for you.
6. How this statement was prepared
This statement was first prepared on 8 September 2026 and last reviewed on 7 November 2026. It is based on our own review of the account application's source code against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and a lighter review of the website and the documentation.
We review it from time to time, and after significant changes to the sites or the account application.
